Bandung UADC
2018
United Asian Debating Championship (UADC) is an annual debate tournament for universities across Asia with 3-on-3 Asian Parliamentary format. Currently, it is the largest inter-varsity parliamentary debate tournament in Asia, with over 500 debaters, observers, and adjudicators joining the tournament regularly. Previously, there was a split between Asian debaters, where two prominent tournaments are competing against each other. They were the Asian Universities Debating Championship (AUDC) and the All-Asian Intervarsity Debating Championship (AIDC or “All-Asians”).
UADC was born out of the decision to merge the two tournaments, creating a single Asian Parliamentary championship in 2009, Asian Universities Debating Championship, which then later turned into UADC.

This year, UADC will take place in Bandung, a city known with its cool air, extravagant hilly views, and home of shop-goers! With its affordable tourism destination and entertainment sites, the city will definitely indulge participants after hours of intense debating.

Organizers
Broadway Entertainment Group
Broadway Entertainment Group is no stranger to debating events. The event organizer is the creator of Indonesia Debate Open and has organized the tournament since 2013. After 4 years of organizing debating tournament, Broadway Entertainment Group, led by Ernest William Silanoe, never failed to impressed. Annually, Annually, IDO invites over an excellent roster of world-class Adjudication Cores, from past and future WUDC Champions, Best Speakers, and CAs. Among these list are: Chris Bisset, Chris Croke, Karin Merckens,
Mifzal Mohammed, Mubarrat Wassey, Ashish Kumar, and James Leeder.
Student English Forum, Bandung Institute of Technology (SEF ITB)
Student English Forum of Institut Teknologi Bandung (SEF ITB) has a proud history of English proliferation di Indonesia. Ever since debating becomes the most active English-exchange event in Indonesia, SEF ITB has always stands as a strong contender and triumphing in many occasions. SEF regularly participates in national and international competitions, and have earned proud titles such as EFL Champion of Bangkok UADC 2017, EFL Semifinalist of WUDC 2017, and EFL Champion of WUDC 2014.

Organizationally, SEF has great records organizing debating events. ITB was host of AUDC 2007 – an earlier version of UADC, and IVED 2013 – Indonesia’s biggest classical tournament that gathered more than 60 teams that year. Annually, SEF also holds its own debate competition, Ganesha Open, which is known to be one of Indonesia’s most competitive BP championships, gathering around 40 teams every year.

With SEF’s frequent participation in national and international competitions, as well as its top-notch organizational experience, SEF’s institutional support would ensure Bandung UADC 2018 to be a reliable and enjoyable tournament for all.
